PH LEVELS OF GOATS MILK- Goat's milk pH is 6.4-6.7 making it a perfect compliment for dogs' skin.  

 

PH LEVELS & SKIN SENSITIVITY OF DOGS-   What does PH mean?  Potential of Hydrogen.  This measures how acidic basic water levels are in your dog's body.  Your dog's standard PH level is more alkaline than human skin which adds to its level of sensitivity. A dog's PH level is around 7.52 and vs human skin at a PH level between 7.35 - 7.45.

A dog is a lot more susceptible to skin irritations since they have very different skin than humans do. What may feel amazing on our skin may be annoying and irritating to our dog's skin.  Let's talk layers... Dogs have fewer layers of actual skin than humans which is another reason why their skin is more sensitive than human skin.  Let's break it down.   Factoring in your dog's age and species the number of layers of skin varies between 12- 24% of its total body weight. 3 major layers of skin are:   Epidermis- Outer Layer,  Dermis- Middle layer, &  Subcutis- inner layer 

Why is it important to know the PH levels when using soaps and essential oils on your dog's skin & coat? The number one reason is the difference between human and dog skin.  There are many products that humans use that should not be used directly on a dog's skin or coat.

SKIN PATCH TEST:  lather the soap with water and rub a portion on the lower leg of your dog or on the ear. Rub it into the skin as you would normally, and then rinse off with water. Wait 24 hours and if no redness or itching occurs your dog has passed the skin patch test. 

For humans, the test is done on the hand, forearm, behind the ear, or on one side of the neck.  

BAR LIFE:  each bar will last a few weeks depending on usage. 

SHELF LIFE:  You can store your bars in a cool dry area until you are ready to use them. Each unused bar will stay fresh for 4- 6 weeks.

UNUSED BARS:  Proper storage is recommended for all bars. Store in a cool dry area. Bars can be left in the reusable bag. 

LATHERING TEST- (COMPLETED)  Each batch is tested and guaranteed to lather with every use.

WHERE TO USE:  perfect for a quick wash outside in the driveway,  in the yard, or a deep soak in the tub.  No matter the place you and your dog will want to snuggle all night after their amazing bath. 

 

HOW TO USE BARS:  

1. Wet your dog's coat
2. Then wet your sponge, gloves, towel, and bar of soap directly with water.  
3. Rotate the bar to activate lathering then give your dog a deep wash while making sure that every spot is fully lathered.  It won't take much to start a massive lathering so use your bar reasonably.
4. Get rid of that stinky bum by externally deep washing the hind area 
5. Give your dog a deep full body wash on the legs, paws, face, neck, chest, claws, tail, belly, ears, and bum/hind.    
6. It is safe to wash the exterior -pinna -the outer part of the ears 
7. Do not force any soap or water within the ear cavity of your dog 
8. Do not directly put into the eyes 
9. Rinse your dog off then pat dry, blow dry or allow them to shake and shimmy a dog's natural way of drying off.
